This prestigious Champagne house was founded in a place where the history of France met the history of Champagne; where famous books were written, and Joffre directed a number of famous battles. The Saint Nicaise Cellars hollowed out by monks in the XIII century now house the jewel in Champagne Taittinger’s crown, the Comptes de Champagne Blanc de Blancs cuvées. The millions of bottles stored at this heritage site patiently await such time as they will awaken to full maturity.
The house style at Taittinger is elegance and uniqueness. Their cuvées contains a high proportion of Chardonnay- seldom found amongst the great Champagnes. The range of wine here includes several non-vintage cuvées, the Brut Réserve, a Brut Prestige Rosé, Taittinger Demi-Sec and Nocturne Sec. The Brut Millésime is a very good wine, as well as Les Follies de la Marquetterie and Prelude Grand Crus. Finally there are the prestige cuvées Comtes de Champagne Blanc de Blancs- made only from the finest Chardonnay Grapes- and the Comtes de Champagne Rosé, which is a legendary cuvée consisting of %30 Chardonnay grapes and %70 of the best Pinot Noir grapes.
